I made these coasters yesterday for my girlfriend who eloped recently. I LOVE them! Anthony said they were very "Grandma-ish" and that he didn't think she would like them (I can always count on him for the truth even when I don't want to hear it). I must be out of touch because I don't think they're old fashioned at all. The fabrics out there now are so beautiful. From start to finish I did 6 in one nap time. Perfect for a last minute gift. Just don't ask my husband if he likes them. :)I got the idea from my friend Ann. She's a great sewer and always comes up with cute ideas. She's in Wisconsin now so I miss seeing all her projects.
