I'm still here!
Hi Everybody! It's been too long since I posted (I seem to say that a lot in the summer). It's becoming my busy hat season so I will share a couple I completed today once I get my labels on them. I had to share Fin's new favorite activity. He gets a hand-knit dish rag (the best rags on earth) from the drawer and squawks for me to wet it. Then he goes around the house wiping everything he can. It's a perfect activity for him; he's so entertained! As you can see in the back ground G2 is following my exercise ball that he just launched down the stairs. I can't blame him for thinking that's what it's for...he's never seen anyone use it for anything else. :) Notice the ding in the pillar? I have no idea what or who caused that. Those gouges are all over my house at that height.

Quilts
Here's some of my quilting I've been working on.
Here's my first attempt at quilting a blanket. I did the meandering method since that seems to be the easiest. I didn't realize I would need so much thread (Dah, Sus) so I made 2 trips to the quilt shop. Using a daring needle is so much fun...I think I'm hooked.
I started this quilt over a year ago. I had someone actually quilt it for me and then did my best to bind it. It being my first time, it just didn't look good enough for the amount of work I had put into it (and $!). Julie Ann, at Fat Quarter Quilting, saved me and now it sits on our guest bed.
A dream for a nonscrapbooker...
My girlfriend, Kerrie, started selling Creative Memories. It didn't mean much to me at first since I don't scrap book. But when I saw what she was doing with the digital software, I got hooked! I usually use Shutterfly, but a couple times the books came apart. I also wanted a pre-made template for a book but didn't like their choices. So, now I have another craft to keep up with! I will probably use it for cards, invites, pics that will go in frames...stuff like that.
My best friend got married recently. I didn't know what I was going to wear so, I was trying on a few dresses in my closet for Anthony and his Mom. They picked out the one they liked best, but it was so old it felt like it didn't deserve to go to Mich's reception (I just thought of the story "the Velveteen Rabbit" as I wrote that). As if Patti read my mind, she said she wanted to go shopping and buy me a dress for my birthday. It was fun trying on things I never would have. I ended up picking out one she had me try on. Isn't that great?! Anthony is the youngest of 4 boys. My sister-in-law and I always say we are lucky she didn't have any girls. She spoils us. :)
I made this card in about 10 minutes. It was fun playing around with it until I liked it. I hope she does...
